Nine
Monday. Awoke at five minutes to six in time to listen to the KPFA five minute news followed by Democracy Now! before getting up at seven twenty-five to set out walking to breakfast, taking pictures of the Lime scooters scattered along the sidewalk, the trash that had appeared since yesterday on the street as I approached across from the Grand Lake theater and the lack of parked cars just beyond.
Generally it says the mood is good when I'm making up excuses to take picture on the way to breakfast. Entered the blocked off dining room as usual, turned on the lights, but settled in at a larger table this time that allowed more space to spread out the papers.
The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up well after nine again and walking home, noting a little different six feet of space marker on the sidewalk and taking the usual series of flower photographs, some of them a little better exposed, some of them a little worse exposed this time.
A line of Gruv scooters again by the lake, the Lime scooters still in place I'd passed walking in and one of three Revel scooters on the way to take the selfie in the lobby and then settle in with the journal, not finishing up until noon with the number of pictures to process this time.
Later. An email from Intuit, the makers of TurboTax saying my credit card has been credited with close to twelve hundred dollars and it would show up in my account tomorrow. My reaction was it's a phishing scam, although the sender address is accurate and there's no mention of it when checking for it on the web.
Usually, if it's a phishing attack, you can Google the email title and such and find out. No mention of it on Google. Then I realized there is a way such a credit could be real if the federal government had used Intuit as my bank address because I haven't had to pay any taxes now in years, simply haven't had enough taxable income and so the bank address they'd have is Intuit's. This would be a mistake as I received the twelve hundred dollar check last week. So we'll see.
A phishing attack or a mistake? I'm guessing phishing and won't open the file that's attached to the email. If it is a phishing attempt, it's a clever one and the attached file is undoubtedly lethal.
Otherwise I've watched more crap on the tablet, listened to the various news programs and that's been the afternoon. There were some showers in the early afternoon, they're saying a chance for more early tomorrow morning, otherwise not much going on. No signs of getting a little stir crazy yet, but I'm really burned out with all the tablet, television and radio/television news I've been watching.
Evening. I looked at the Father Brown episode at eight. All right, I actually watched the damned thing, something I'm not sure I want to admit. Harmless, predictable, but a program that indeed seems to get my dandruff\hackles\whatever up. To bed after nine.
