Breakfast

Sunday. Lights out later than I should, close to eleven, to awaken then at a quarter to seven and so not a bad night's rest. Up at seven-thirty to drive again to breakfast on a partly cloudy morning, they're saying into the mid-sixties today, a chance of rain late Monday and into Tuesday morning. More excuses for driving instead of walking. Arrived to park, enter the blocked off dining area, turn on the lights and settle in with the Sunday papers.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee. We still need to shave two or three pounds. Spent quite a bit longer with the papers, perhaps the reading more interesting than usual, perhaps because I was clearer headed, to finish up well after nine to walk to the car and drive home, take the selfie and settle in at the computer to finish yesterday's lost in the woods entry before posting.

Later. The sun came out and so over to the construction site to take the usual series of photographs. They have indeed made progress. Back to the apartment to put a record on the turntable for the first time in some time, starting with George Harrison's All Things Must Pass. Been quite a while since I've pulled down the album and played it. I do miss Mr. Harrison. Another who left us way too soon.

Evening. Stayed with television to watch the Masterpiece Theater episode of World On Fire if only because I've watched the earlier episodes. A bit uneven, but interesting. To bed then just after ten to get to sleep just after eleven. We'll see how that plays out for sleep tomorrow. Not a bad day, otherwise, although I didn't call my sister to wish her a happy Mother's Day. I'm taking too well to this shelter-in-place isolation business as I've now seemingly been avoiding the world now for some time, other than for breakfast.

The photo up top was taken at the 2015 How Weird Street Faire with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
