Later

Friday. To sleep after ten to awaken then at five-thirty, too early, but not unusual and seemingly after a decent night of rest. The blood pressure was good and so took the med, we'll measure it again when we get back from breakfast. Set out to drive first to the Lakeshore ATM and then over the hill to breakfast, arriving a little early, entering the closed off dining area, turning on the lights and settling in with but two papers, the N.Y. Times hadn't been delivered again. This happens too often, the delivery guy is not paying attention.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up just after nine to head to the car, taken the flower picture and then drive to the smog-test shop on Lakeshore to see if the daily driving had had an effect. Just the mile a day daily driving, but it turned out to be another failure, evidently the car electronics wasn't identifying the catalytic converter again and so it couldn't make the measurement. We'll take it to the dealer next week.

Drove home, took the selfie in the lobby and settled in to finish and post yesterday's entry (what else?), check out the usual news sources on the web and see what was happening on Facebook before starting here.

Later. A decent afternoon. A high of seventy, the sky clear, a bright sun. The pigeons making their nest(s) out under the balcony up above mine have been flying around going through their mating dances and battles. They haven't done anything with the damaged apartment balconies now in a while, but I suspect the pigeons had better get their eggs hatched and their squeakers ready to fly before the workmen arrive. Not sure I'm happy with what that implies if they haven't.

Evening. Watched most of the Inspector Morse episode that started at eight. Well, half-watched, picking up most of what was going on, but bailing just before it ended with the evil doer yet to be unmasked. I think. Anyway to bed to listen to the radio until just after ten to then turn out the lights, sleep following not all that long later.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
