Routine

Saturday. To sleep at about the usual time after ten to awaken then at five-thirty. Well, half awake at five-thirty to remain half awake until seven to then get ready to walk to breakfast on an overcast, low clouds morning, arriving at the usual time to enter the closed off dining area to turn on the lights and settle in with the two morning papers, getting two copies of the Chronicle this morning and no copy of the East Bay Times. I've got to send a message to the delivery operation today and ask them to give my delivery person a heads up. Nicely, you understand, not a get his head out of his ass. At least not yet.

Now, now.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee again, finishing up by nine and walking home, noticing of the fair number of people I was passing were wearing masks this time, a much better percentage than I've seen in the past. Maybe some of this wear a mask information is getting through, maybe people have had enough time to acquire the things. Still one or two without, still one or two (or three) not wearing it over their nose or worst case, just around their necks.

A line of food vendors was setting up along the lake, the parking meters with no parking signs to keep the crowds from getting too big along the lake. Not sure they're having any real effect. Arrived home to take the selfie and settle in to finish yesterday's entry and start on this.

Later. Watched about an hour of the golf tournament starting at noon, but bailed after maybe an hour for the tablet, not getting back to the living room to watch/listen to the news until five. Life in the fast lane. Thought to check out the crowd (from a distance) along the lake to see what was what, but didn't budge. Wondered if they'd started work again on the apartment house construction site just up the way (but didn't budge).

Evening. More tablet, returning to the living room to watch the beginning of The Big Chill (1983) on television at eight. I was familiar with the title and had read a comment that it was known for its sound track, but otherwise knew noting more about it and so sat down to watch. I lasted for maybe fifteen or so minutes, leaving not long after the Stone's You Can't Always Get What You Want had played. It does have a great sound track, having looked it up the next morning on the web, but I was tired and ready for my time for bed routine.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
