Nine
Wednesday An odd night. Lights out around ten, the usual time, but then seemingly stayed awake or at least half dreaming until it was twenty minutes after six in the morning wondering if I'd really gotten any sleep. Felt awake, wide awake, and so got up in the usual routine and drove to breakfast, as I wanted to get back a little early in case the Protime blood thinner test guy came by as he's (and sometimes she's) often come in the past. Arrived to turn on the dining room lights and settle in with the papers.
The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee again, just because I couldn't think of anything else I wanted, finishing up by nine and heading for the car to drive straight home, screw up the selfie in the lobby and settle in here at the computer. No sign of the Protime person, no messages or calls to say he or she was on the way, so a call to the cardiologist's office to leave a message. Had she called and set up the appointment?
I've been taking two doses of the blood pressure med for the last week, a dose with the rest of the meds in the morning and then a second blood pressure dose before bed, but the reading has been a little high in the evenings and so took two doses this morning when the reading was 114/68 (which is just fine) and then another reading four hours later to have it come in at 123/71 (again just fine). The question is what will be the reading when I go to bed. Will it be high as in this past week or what? We'll soon know.
Later. Did some preparations for Christmas, cards and the like, along with paying a couple of bills. Which is good. Spent more time watching this and that on the computer than I did on the tablet.
Evening. I'd seen the Midsomer Murders episode that ran at eight and didn't need to see it again, although (again) I had no idea of who'd done what to whom. The blood pressure guy hadn't come by, but got a phone call to arrange a time for tomorrow morning, so that looks as if that's on line and the blood pressure was 122/63, right on the mark. To bed after nine.
