Bed
Tuesday To sleep soon enough, but awoke a couple of times starting before five with the aching chest and so wrestled with that again, awake finally after six to listen to the rest of Democracy Now! and making a note to listen to it all the way through when I got back from breakfast.
Out the door to walk under clearing skies, they're saying it will be blistering hot again (blistering for Oakland, anyway), passing by this car that for some reason demanded a picture for its blown tire and oddly scattered damage, arriving at the usual time to settle in at my table on the patio and starting on the papers. All of the tables eventually filled for the first time this morning.
The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee because that's my go to breakfast when nothing else comes to mind, finishing up just after nine to set out for home and take pictures of the usual suspects under what was now a bright and warm going on warmer while wearing a t-shirt and light jacket sun. I'd left the long sleeved shirts in the closet.
Home to take the selfie and think of reasons not to start the laundry, posting yesterday's entry and starting on the photographs. Another morning in Oakland in other words.
Later. Did the laundry, all of it now hung and folded with but the socks yet to be done. Worth a brief pat on the head.
Ordered a fan to set it up permanently in the bedroom so I don't have to move the one I have back and forth between it and the living room as well as having a backup should the one I now have fail. My current fan has been reliably functioning now for well over thirty years. The comments I read from people who'd ordered fans from the Amazon site seemed surprised and happy when they boasted their's had been hardy enough to last for three. But we'll see.
Evening. Skipped watching the Democratic convention after about five minutes and went to bed to watch something on the tablet. Put it aside and diddled away the time until it was after ten before turning the lights out, the bedroom windows and living room balcony door wide open, the temperature not a problem with the fan at the foot of the bed.
