Here In Oakland

Art & Life

August 15, 2020

Week

Saturday To sleep not long after all the noise stopped coming from down at the lake at eleven to awaken briefly at three and then for good at close to six, the chest continuing to survive the night without aching. Which is unexplainable, but very good. Decided to drive under sunny skies, the temperature forecast is for a high well up into the eighties later today and on through next Saturday here in my section of Oakland and so we're in for a trip. Lets hope the too many decades old fan doesn't fail in the middle of all of this.

Arrived around the usual time to settle in at the table and order the ground beef patty, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for no particular reason, finishing up not long after nine to drive home, take the selfie and settle in here after closing the bedroom windows and turning on the fan.

Later. It's ninety-two degrees at four in the afternoon, eighty-eight degrees at five with another week of this coming. Wherever I went in the apartment the fan followed.

Evening. Eighty degrees at eight. Nothing on television and so watched stuff on the tablet. Some music coming up from the lake, but much less loud than last night's dust up and not lasting all that long. It's still overly warm, the fan at the foot of the bed, no blankets, no t-shirt, still not getting my head around the idea this is going to go on for another week.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
