Breakfast

Saturday. Another uneven night's sleep in the sense I awoke some two or three times before being awakened by the alarm at six-thirty. OK. Up and out the door with the older D2Xs camera mounted with a 50mm f 1.4 lens to see what kind of pictures I could get out of it with better glass on the front end. Not too terrible, so we'll probably do this again.

Anyway, on to breakfast on an overcast and slightly foggy-misty morning. Not enough water in the air to get you wet or even overly damp, but damp none the less. No complaints, a picture or two as I was walking, thinking to test the camera and perhaps reminding myself I do indeed carry a camera to take pictures. Better even bad pictures than no pictures, he said.

Hrumpf!

Well, yes. I believe there's the tail end of a triathlon going on at the moment as the bus line had signs posted it wouldn't be running from 6 to 11 this morning. There was a mention of one I'd read last week on the web. No thought to go outside to photograph it, I'm assuming I've missed most of it by now anyway, but I can hear shouting coming in from the far distance through the open balcony door. And I noticed the fellow with this sign (Go Cobra) when I opened the picture.

Later. A walk to the Lakeshore ATM in the early afternoon, stopping for two scoops of ice cream at the ice cream shop. Lots of people about, the farmers market going full tilt, but no pictures as it happened, although I was carrying the D2Xs again, but with the 17mm-55mm lens. We'll carry it again tomorrow, see what kind of pictures it takes compared to the 50mm lens I used this morning.

Otherwise more time on the tablet doing the usual switching back and forth between movies and television series. One thing about being a flake, it takes practice.

Time for you to stop.

Later still. Tired and so lying down on the bed for a good hour, not sleeping, but dozing, however dozing might be defined. The weekend drumming coming in from the lake in the background, the sun bright outside, plenty of humidity, the fan at the end of the bed. Nice, in many ways for so slow a day as this one is.

Evening. Nothing on television as usual, and so another section of apartment house photographs assembled and posted. Still running a section behind, but I'm thinking tomorrow might be the day to catch up. Finish the month of June before we move into September. Ambitious, I know, but the day is cooler and strange thoughts occur.

Otherwise let's see. I haven't charged the car battery yet, need to coordinate with the building supervisor, so we'll walk to breakfast tomorrow. Went by the ATM earlier, so we're set. For breakfast.

The photo up top was taken of a Grand Lake theater exit door this morning while walking home from breakfast with a Nikon D2Xs mounted with a 50mm f 1.4 G Nikkor lens.
