Tonight

Wednesday. Lights out later last night, maybe ten to fifteen minutes later than usual, to awaken at six-thirty, running late. My fault, of course, watching that series on the tablet. Skipped shaving to make up for the lost time, checked the sky - looked like it could rain - and so drove to breakfast, arriving before seven. Didn't rain, should have walked, but we've got a haircut scheduled for later this afternoon, we'll find a way to get the walking in. Not hard to do when you look at the miserably short distances I seem satisfied with.

The French toast with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee while reading about the ongoing cluster-fuck we call our national administration. I think I understand why he was elected, the nation was in need of a change, but that doesn't make it any better.

We are drifting into politics here, pull in the reins.

Indeed. Finished up by eight-forty and drove home, no rain coming, going or falling in between. Better to walk if there's a chance of rain, all that can happen is you get all wet. I'm familiar with being all wet.

Later. Spent some time this early afternoon with that Chinese fantasy series I mentioned last night before walking to the barber shop not far from the morning restaurant, spent all of twenty minutes in the chair and then back to the apartment. Thought of getting something to eat, wasn't tired as I was yesterday, but I wasn't hungry enough to set out to get anything nearby.

Evening. A French episode of a series I'd seen before on television, deciding I didn't need to see again, and so back to the tablet and that Chinese series. Not sure what has held my interest, a Chinese fantasy thing you'd assume would only be of interest to children, but it handles a not uncommon fantasy theme with more subtly than the others I've tried watching and the pieces fit together better. At least that's what I've been telling myself to rationalize my interest.

Maybe put describing these programs in the trash basket with your political pronouncements.

Lights out earlier before ten, see what kind of sleep we get tonight.
