Skin

Thursday. Not bad. Lights out by nine-thirty to awaken at five minutes before six, get up, get ready and head out walking to breakfast on a reasonably warm, but overcast morning, the restaurant open when I arrived. No complaints.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up by eight-thirty to cross the street and document the four cent per gallon rise in the price of regular before heading on home, the usual snapshot here and there along the way. A selfie with the new haircut. I'd keep it longer if it weren't so hard to manage, but at my age why would I care?

Vanity has no age constraints.

Later. A bus in the early afternoon to the ATM at the bank's new location on Broadway, returning after waiting for five on a bus at the stop across from the bank. Good. The bus schedule changes they made on March 31st make this an easy trip whether I decide to shoot pictures of the construction sites on Valdez or not.

Watched some news and then settled in with the tablet, starting a Korean series. Sounds familiar. Up, breakfast, post entry, listen/read the news, watch television and stuff on the tablet. Still, head halfway clear, not tired and so we'll keep our head down and not complain.

Evening. Tried looking at an Italian program at six and managed to watch it for all of five minutes. Humor, when it doesn't work, really doesn't work.

Maybe it's just you.

The French and Italian programs, from whatever years these are from, seem to be the best at getting under my skin, so we'll just blame it on my obvious discernment or a case of unusually thin skin.

The photo up top was taken a the 2018 Saint Stupid's Day Parade with a Nikon D500 mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 Nikkor VR lens.
