Here In Oakland

Art & Life

April 21, 2014

Could Be
Monday. No Wallendar last night and not enough time on the guitar, but to sleep before ten without awakening during the night and get up without effort with the alarm. No noticeable effects from the cheddar cheese or the sake yesterday, but we'll keep an eye out today just in case. Never been sure how long it takes for any of that stuff to have an effect and so we'll watch our act today. Hey.

And tomorrow?

Tomorrow is another day. Today, however, is bright and sunny and, if not inviting, not so off putting either and we'll see what that means.

Later. So much for bright and sunny, where did that cloud cover come from? A walk over to the construction site to see some activity, but not as many workers as this last week. A picture or two before crossing to the lake to find a video being made down by the shore. A candidate for office? Few if any birds, although there were a number of gulls around the pergola fountain. Back to the apartment to continue work on the Cherry Blossom Parade photographs.

A bus downtown after a bath to pick up a prescription refill, a walk around the City Center trying to sell myself on something to eat. No luck. Never sure why. A walk then to Broadway and a bus back home to continue with the photographs, finally finishing them and posting them after six. Three sections. I may go back and redo one or two, in another life I might have cut them down to two (perhaps better) sections, but not today, not tomorrow. We still go through our little “like them, don't like them” routine. Art and life, life and art.

Evening. Nothing on television, nothing much I seemed to want to continue reading in bed. I'd watched some House earlier on Netflix, but that's about it. A good night's sleep in the offing? Could be.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival Parade yesterday with a Nikon D4s mounted with an 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
