Done

Friday. Lights out before ten to then awaken just before six, eyes opening twice briefly during the night, but managing a decent night's sleep. I think. Fairly clear headed, anyway, heading out the door on an overcast and cool morning, the eyes watering all the way.

Arrived slightly after seven to order the two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast. Didn't read the stories describing yesterday's Senate hearing, but did read some of the editorial comment, the committee evidently going to vote in favor of seating Kavanaugh this morning as I write.

Finished up by eight-thirty to walk home, taking photographs this time of a vandalized bicycle I'd passed when walking in and of a group of Lime scooters on their side sitting across from the theater. Still, a good walk, the attitude good, we'll see how long this head of steam lasts into the morning.

Later. Not bad, better than I thought: the FBI will be given a week to examine the Kavanaugh accusations in more detail. Not much time, a week, but at least they finally understood more light was needed if the damage this is doing to both the nomination process and Supreme Court can be reduced if not settled. Never a dull moment, never a day without some weird confrontation.

Now, now.

Evening. Nothing on television and nothing I wanted to continue watching on the tablet so to bed early with lights out after nine. Listened to some baseball on AM radio, but that didn't last, and so I'm guessing this day really is done. Certainly I'm done.
