Dark
Tuesday. Lights out at a decent hour, but awakening at five-thirty and not able to get back to sleep and so taking my time getting it together before setting out to walk to breakfast on another quite cool and overcast morning.
The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast over the papers, the usual political turmoil/madness continuing from the look of the papers, finishing up by a quarter to nine.
Set out for home, thinking twice about taking this picture from the look I was getting, but on by the theater and the various scooter locations to arrive home and check the car battery. If it wasn't charged it was pretty damned close and so disconnected the extension cord and folded it all up to be ready for the next time it was needed again. And it will be needed again.
Sun, now that it's after ten, nothing on the schedule other than taking a run by an ATM and checking out another pharmacy for flu shots. Well, that's enough to make the day, enough to at least get in a shot at a decent walk.
Later. A bus to the ATM on Broadway at noon and then a walk on to the City Center to have a bagel sandwich (turkey and Swiss cheese) with coffee in the sun out at one of their outside tables. OK, maybe check the nearby Walgreens again to see when they're due to receive another batch of flu shots for us over sixty-five folks, to discover they'd received them this morning and so, although it took almost thirty minutes of paperwork and waiting, got the shot.
A walk then to the Grand and Webster bus stop to catch a bus straight home and to lie down for half an hour, the day's tasks done.
Evening. Spent the time with the tablet and the various news programs through until about seven when an ocular migraine kicked in. A real one, but short, zoning out on the bed for about an hour before getting up at eight to shut down the computer and turn out the lights, then to bed again to listen to the radio in the dark.
