Bulge

Monday. To sleep not long after ten to sleep straight through until six-twenty. Good. Made up for last night. I hope. Up at the usual time to take the blood pressure, take the blood pressure med and then walk to breakfast, arriving around the usual time to settle in at my table inside and start on the papers.

The one pork chop, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up just after nine to walk home under a bright sun and a bit of a breeze. The weather people were warning of wind gusts through the day with an emphasis on the chance of fires, the humidity low. Not as warm, though. But we'll soon know how it goes.

Home to take the selfie in the lobby and then hurry at the very last minute to the bathroom. Again. Took the blood pressure which looked good and then settled in at the computer to go through the usual edit yesterday's entry, post, process the morning pictures and start with this routine.

Later. A drive to the dentist's office at eleven-thirty to find the traffic not a problem and so arrived way too early for my twelve-thirty appointment. OK, waited forty-five minutes to have the prep work done for the crown that took for over a not pleasant hour to drive home, again in reasonable traffic, arriving at two-thirty to take the blood pressure and be surprised to see it well within bounds. This after taking four doses of the med yesterday to keep it in line.

Took a good sized dose of the pain med as the area of the crown is aching more than a bit. Had one done a couple of years ago and don't remember it being so sore, but every one of them is different I guess.

Evening. The soreness seems to be easing off. The blood pressure, however, was through the roof when I measured it at six-thirty, this after taking a second dose of the blood pressure med at four and so we took another, now three for the day. Will we need to go for four?

Four. Took a reading at eight-fifteen, close to two hours after taking the third. The highest I've measured. Maybe take a double dose around three in the afternoons, see if I can't get rid of this seems to be ongoing late afternoon early evening bulge.

The photo up top was taken at the 2014 Folsom Street Fair with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
