Shots

Friday. Lights out after nine to get to sleep soon enough after and awaken then for good at ten minutes to six and get up to take the blood pressure (100/72, 109/70, 117/74) to find it lower than it's been these last mornings and so skipped taking the blood pressure med and set out driving to breakfast, thinking I'd get the tank filled after breakfast. Arrived at the usual time to enter the indoor dining area, turn on the lights and settle in at my usual spot with the papers.

The single pork chop, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, the weight three pounds under the one fifty-five target on the scale this morning, finishing up well after nine to walk to the car and enter the gas station only to find the pump that I'd chosen wouldn't take the credit card. Blocked for some reason. What the hell, we'll get it done Sunday and so drove straight home to take the selfie in the lobby and settle in at the computer, take another set of blood pressure readings (116/75, 113/76, 114/75) to find them right where I'd want them and so skipped taking the blood pressure me until later.

Finished yesterday's entry, posted it, processed the morning pictures and started here. The COVID booster shot coming up just after noon, planning on walking to the Walgreens to make up for driving to breakfast this morning.

Later. A walk to Walgreens under a now seventy-six degree sun, arriving somewhat early for my twelve forty-five appointment, to find it fairly crowded and it ending up taking forty-five minutes to get the shot done. Seems you don't have to have an appointment and so a lot of people were just walking in and standing in line.

Walked back home to take the blood pressure: 102/67, 103/65, 99/67. Why so low and now lower? Another reading at three (118/70, 123/73, 120/64), better and so took a dose of the blood pressure med. Now if it drops through the floor I'll send a follow up to the cardiologist and hope it doesn't freak him out.

Does it freak you out?

I will if he does.

Evening. Some slight soreness seems to be developing in the arm from the shot, but nothing to particularly pay attention to. Yet.

Watched the Dodgers-Brewers game until eight when I checked out the Inspector Morse episode and watched it for half an hour until I decided I'd seen enough. I'd seen it before, of course, and even thought I remembered who'd ended up doing the evil deed, but enough was enough. To bed, the shoulder now a little sorer, but not really getting in the way of getting to sleep. Seems to be pretty much acting as it had when I got those first two shots.

The photo up top was taken at the 2014 Oakland Pride Festival with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
