At All

Saturday. Another tired, to bed and early to sleep evening not long after after nine to awaken this morning at five minutes to six. Good. A good night's sleep, awake at a reasonable time, and so up and out the door on another clear, but cool to cold morning. Cool to cold here in Oakland, anyway.

The avocado and cheese omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, light on the cheese. A low level gamble with an ocular incident later, the cheese, but the morning has been clear as a bell now that it approaches noon.

A sunny walk home to wrestle with yesterday's entry. I'd crapped out yesterday and so added what I recalled of the evening this morning, wincing as I posted it. We're way too far into wincing while posting to be mentioning it.

A street party starting at noon down near Grand and Broadway, close enough to get me out the door for pictures.

Later. It will took me too long to talk myself into attending this block party thing. Not sure why, but it happens more and more often, this don't want to go anywhere business. Caught the bus to Broadway and Grand and walked the short distance to the #HealthAndJustice4All block party to find it underway, not overly crowded, but with a decent band playing. Thought the two young women singing quite good.

The vision was off from the minute I left (what else?), the difference in light the guess, although I'm not sure what causes it. Made things a bit disorienting as it always does and so stayed at the street party for maybe fifteen minutes to take but half a dozen pictures and none but one or two worth the effort, not that I expended all that much effort.

So a walk back to the apartment, passing by the road construction at Grand and Harrison. Been a while since I've walked by to see they'd made progress, the right turn off Harrison onto Grand now completed with the sidewalk and landscaping still to finish. And so some pictures of it and a gondola spotted on the lake.

Picked up a pint of strawberry ice cream at the 7-11 look-alike on the way, turned on the television when I got home and had ice cream for a late lunch. No complaints.

Evening. Nothing on television I wanted to watch, one of the three PBS stations raising money again. Are they spending more and more time raising money these days or is it just me? Wouldn't want to bet either way.

Anyway, although the vision immediately came together when I got back inside and the head seemed to regain its balance, I was still tired and so to bed and the tablet before eight, growing tired of the tablet and so lights out by nine. At least the “feeling tired” allows sleep to come pretty much without a problem, although I awakened for what seemed like fifteen or twenty minutes at two. Still, a foggy memory, those fifteen or twenty minutes, and back to sleep soon enough to awaken at six. Not a bad way to end a day. Not bad at all.

The photo up top was taken while walking home from breakfast this morning with a Nikon 1 V 1 camera mounted with a 32mm f 1.2 Nikon 1 Nikkor lens.
