Sunday. Lights out after nine to awaken then at six to get up slowly, thinking do I really want to drive to BART after breakfast before eight to catch the eight-twenty train to 24th Street and walk the six blocks or so to the forming up of the Carnaval Parade, realizing, if I don't it this morning, it will probably end my photographing of this parade in the future? Crap out now, crap out forever? I realized I was more likely crapping out forever than not.

Bright sun on the drive to breakfast having left the backpack with the long lens camera behind. Had the hamburger patty, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast and coffee for breakfast, finishing up just before nine to take the usual two pictures and then drive home, again, the sun bright, a nice day ahead. The sinus-upper palate was acting up and so took another dose of the pain meds when I got back to the apartment.

Well, Carnaval is the strenuous one to get to, skipping it doesn't mean I'll skip all that many of the others that don't require much walking to get to them and there are others coming up now that we're almost into June, but it gives pause for thought. We're not fighting stopping, we're fighting a change in the shooting - what we shoot, when, where and the like - and so best to look at it positively. He said.

It is a nice day out there, people about, maybe even birds to photograph. You know, ducks and the like? Lighten up.

Later. A quick walk up to the construction area near my apartment to see if they'd made any visible progress on the site to discover they had and so I'm guessing they're planning to start construction on the new buildings this summer. Guessing with no real information one way or the other, of course.

I did look back at the earlier Carnaval Parade photographs and remembered I'd skipped out on it last year as well, but for the fact it was raining. Did I think stopping was set in stone when I skipped it then or just bitching about the weather? Reading the entry it wasn't as obvious to me as it is now.

Then again, then again.

OK, we'll stuff it. Golf, at the moment, the last round of this weeks Forth Worth Invitational Tournament. I suspect it's television and tablet from here on out.

Evening. Watched an Elementary episode, just one running this evening instead of the usual two and so television gave way to the tablet from there on out.
