Saturday. Lights out by ten and maybe I was a little slow in getting to sleep, but much certainly more quickly than last night's seemingly wide awake experience, to awaken then at six-thirty, which is good on a weekend when they open later and it's best to arrive after seven.
Overcast, but not particularly cold, they're saying warmer today and much warmer tomorrow in time for the Carnaval Parade. I'm not looking forward to the walking distances required for me to photograph the Carnaval Parade.
The French toast with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, still over the target by half a pound on the scale this morning, going through the papers relatively quickly to set out for home not long after eight. Nothing on today's schedule. No real thought to go over to the San Francisco Mission district to photograph and Carnaval street celebration that runs both today and tomorrow after the parade, but I have thought about it, diminished abilities and ambitions et al as we, um, get older.
Later. Still overcast as it approaches three. Time spent watching that damned Korean thing on the tablet and starting another that looked interesting, we'll make our usual scratch our head and wonder what I'm talking about judgment on it later when I've seen more. Bailed to watch a Florida golf tournament on television.
Later still. Charged the camera batteries and zipped a camera into the backpack in preparation for tomorrow's parade to then watch the Korean thing on the tablet for the rest of the afternoon. Packing a camera and getting ready to drive directly from the morning restaurant to BART will probably guarantee I'll photograph the parade, I just might have trouble lasting for an hour's shooting. Half an hour's. Still, better some than none.
Evening. So much for the day and the evening. Nothing on television and so back to the tablet. I wonder if every entry here, morning, afternoon and evening, will be accurately described by simply copying each section verbatim day after day: television, tablet and the same crop of pictures?
Now, now.
