Tomorrow

Monday. Struggled to no avail to find something on the tablet and so lights out not long after nine to get a reasonable night's sleep. Up half an hour before the alarm was usually set to sound (no alarms on a holiday) to get up and drive to breakfast and then, running against habit, to drive on to the supermarket and spend a lot of money on not very much stuff, all of which I'll probably consume much too soon to justify the calories and the price.

So we'll start on the photographs again, we have many to process and won't get them done today. Which is some way is a good sign, means we got quite a few worth the effort to process and post. You knowst.

Later. A bus downtown to check out the Broadway straightening project at Latham Square. Had they made progress over the weekend? Were they working on a Memorial Day?

No activity, but they seem to have finished paving over the various holes they'd dug in the street over the weekend, so a picture or two to document the fact, a picture of something going on near the City Hall and that was it for pictures.

A walk then on through the City Center, knowing nothing would be open on a Memorial Day, but thinking I'd walk the farther distance to catch the bus where it originated at Washington and 10th as I didn't want to wait for it to arrive at the closer where I was Broadway stop. Don't mind walking, like it better than standing and waiting.

Which means I missed the bus by about thirty seconds, watching it pull away down Washington as I was approaching. I'd been feeling more than a bit off since I'd gotten off the bus at Latham Square, the double somewhat jittery vision (I call it that, but I'm not really sure how to describe it) along with other symptoms and so thought to find a cafe to sit and wind down over a cup of coffee, but nothing was open. A mile or so walk along Broadway finally to Grand feeling not well, hunched over and vulnerable. This had turned into a not very good outing.

Home to lie down before starting again on the photographs, wondering what had caused this, um, “relapse”? I had eaten a bowl of the Kellogg's Red Berries cereal that I'd picked up at the supermarket, haven't done this in some time, remembering that I've wondered if it hasn't caused problems in the past. Weird symptoms from eating a cereal? Did I screw up? Probably. We often do that. Cereal and low fat cottage cheese, both food items I've routinely eaten in the past. What is going on exactly?

Anyway, an afternoon processing photographs once the head had reassembled. It seems to be turning out I have enough for five sections, one hundred plus photographs, a lot of photographs for an outing, even a Carnaval Parade outing. Which does make me happy, weird symptoms or not.

Evening. Finally ran out of steam processing photographs, we'll finish up tomorrow. Some time watching one or two things on the tablet and then to bed after checking to see who's on Charlie Rose this evening at eight. Ah, the Science Guy. We'll trade the Science Guy for an early lights out and a better headed day tomorrow.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco 2015 Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
