Stairs
Wednesday. Lights out early. If I'm going to feel as tired as I managed to feel yesterday, we'll not cut back on the time we allocate for sleep. Still, if you asked while I was dropping off - up and down - up and down, I'd have said we're in trouble this night. Yet, awakening just before six to listen to Democracy Now and take my time getting up, I felt pretty good. Not unusual, after whatever sort of night, to feel pretty good when getting up and out to breakfast. Still, fingers crossed.
Out the door by six-forty to walk to breakfast under a clear sky. The high yesterday was seventy-three degrees and they're saying something similar today. Passed by this without taking a picture although I took one when walking home. Not uncommon to see. More pickups or larger cannisters needed was the thought. They do clean it up pretty thoroughly when they come by. Still, must be morning and we're drifting and babbliing along.
The avocado with cheese omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast over the papers. Bright sun, albeit somewhat hazy, walking home. I say hazy as I often have to “de-haze” the gas station photographs on sunny mornings, making me wonder what's in the air.
The larger pandorea bud finally flowered this morning, a closeup showing what I suspect are insects that transport its pollen. There've never been any bees around these flowers in the past. The usual sidewalk picture and photo taken below the Lakeshore School, another of a homeless person sleeping at the bus stop. He'd been under the bench as I was walking in. A picture of a young woman who's passed me running now in the mornings over this last year. A little off the wall, particularly last year when she was pregnant. Doesn't seem to faze her running in traffic in the least.
But it fazes you?
One should learn to keep one's mouth shut if one doesn't wish to appear too unhip.
Got home and finished yesterday's entry, spending most of the time adding links to pictures I usually handle on the day they're taken. I'd been tired and avoided working on the entry as well as anything else through the day yesterday, surprising I ended up taking any pictures at all.
Need to get the Protime blood thinner test at the lab today. But we'll do that early this afternoon.
Later. A bus to Broadway to get lucky and catch a Broadway bus to arrive early at the lab and so had a large yogurt cup and small coffee out at a table at the little café off the building lobby. Had the blood drawn, took the camera out of the backpack and walked along Broadway to Grand taking pictures first of the construction going on by the hospital across from the lab, they're making progress, then a couple at the complex they're building at Broadway and 27th. Haven't taken any pictures of either of these in a fair while.
OK, getting close to when the Grand Avenue bus was due, taking pictures on Webster of the apartment house construction site I'd photographed on its other side yesterday, figuring I'd hit the bus stop three minutes before it was scheduled to arrive. Tired and overly warm by then and had no interest in walking the rest of the way home. Waiting to cross to the bus stop on Grand, I watched the bus arrive three minutes before it was scheduled to arrive, missing it by thirty seconds. Screw it, waited the twenty minutes for the next one to go straight home and process the pictures.
Evening. None of yesterday's tiredness. Overly warm while walking earlier in long sleeved shirt and light jacket, should have anticipated that after yesterday, but otherwise felt pretty good if not ready to climb mountains or skip the elevator for the stairs.
