March 16, 2018

Time

Friday. The dose of pain meds last night kicked in and sleep came to awake at twenty minutes after six, the sinus-upper palate behaving quite nicely. Lying with the head on the pillow will sometimes aggravate the sinus area as it did last night, although it was unusual enough to get me thinking visiting a neurologist might be in order if it's something more than those damaged nerves were sending a message.

Ah, well. Up to get ready to head out to breakfast. It had obviously been raining last night, but the cloud cover looked promising and so walked instead of driving and that worked out fine. Had the corned beef hash, eggs over medium, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast while reading the papers with some interest, finished and set out for home. Looked ominous, but no rain on the way and so a good start to this March Friday, the weekend and the Saint Patrick's Day Parade ahead.

Later. A break in the clouds and so late morning sun, at least for a while. Feel pretty good, energy good, although I haven't applied it to anything other than listening to the news and the usual screwing around. Sounds about par for the course.

Evening. Had pasta with red clam sauce for a late afternoon dinner, something I have more often than I probably should, except this one started a stomach ache. Not over the top aching, but clearly letting me know it was unhappy and so to bed early to turn out the lights and listen to the alimentary canal gurgle as whatever it was worked along its way. At least I was able, finally, to sleep.

Sunday along Lake Merritt taken with a Nikon D500 mounted with a 135mm f 1.2 DC Nikkor lens.
