Out

Friday. To bed and to sleep at a decent hour to awaken then at twenty to six, too early, but not so bad. A decent night's rest, anyway. No complaints.

The head came together reasonably quickly to get out the door (without the East Bay Times, another late delivery) and walk to breakfast, the camera, with the ISO jacked up to the moon, showing the light brighter than it was to human eyes.

The oatmeal, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, deciding to take no chances for later. That and the fact nothing else really called out, in so far as they ever call out anymore. The sun bright, the temperature nice walking home on this last day of March, a full weekend of things to photograph coming up this weekend. Which is good as I've run out of St. Patrick's Day photographs of the right proportion to run up above.

Oh, and the AT&T tech appointment. They haven't contacted me to reschedule so I'd better get on the phone. No more of this doing it over the web business.

Later. A walk over to the lake in a t-shirt and long sleeved shirt. The temperature would have been warm enough, if there didn't happen to be a relatively cool breeze, and so a relatively short journey, returning to the apartment to download the one or two pictures I'd taken and then deciding to head out again in a light jacket, this time to catch a bus that was due in six minutes to the Broadway ATM.

The bus didn't come. The NextBus app had shown one six minutes away, but it stayed stuck at six minutes away and I ended up catching the bus following twenty minutes behind it. OK. Not sure what that was about. On to the ATM and then a walk along Broadway to the 17th Street construction site to hold the camera up over the fence and attempt a couple of shaky pictures. On then to the City Center for a tuna with Swiss cheese on a bagel sandwich and coffee at one of their outside tables.

Evening. I probably should have called AT&T on their modem, but used their web site to arrange another visit instead, which would have been fine if the next opening was say this Monday, rather than this coming Thursday, the first day they showed available. We'll call them Monday and do some need preparation in the computer area here this coming weekend.

Sounds like you were too lazy to call.

Some truth there. The computer works well enough, it's just the tablet that's gone flaky with the speed so slow.

Watched the last half of Democracy Now! that I'd missed this morning, watched more episodes of Law & Order, all but one of which I've seen before. Doesn't seem to matter much, this having seen them before. I remember the beginnings, don't seem to remember most of the story lines and how they turned out.

Checked out Charlie Rose at eight. Seems the Trump administration is still swimming in the kiddie pool and can't seem to pull themselves out.

The photo up top was taken today at Lake Merritt with a Nikon D500 mounted with a 135mm f 2.0 DC Nikkor lens.
