Tired

Wednesday. For some reason it took forever to get to sleep last night and so awakened at close to seven, this morning, running an hour late. Still, nice day, a decent walk to breakfast wearing a winter coat, but not a sweater, the temperature fine, but the eyes watering like crazy. The eyes evidently will water like crazy, whatever the temperature.

The oatmeal, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast. We're still remembering yesterday's dry mouth, a memory that may last longer than it has in the past. But I'm not necessarily going to bet on it.

A haircut at eleven, which is good. I wouldn't have been able to lash together yesterday's entry and start today's if it has been scheduled for ten. So again, the sun shining, they're saying even warmer today, and we're looking for what is now to us adventure.

An adventure?

Taking a bus downtown to get a haircut, my son. Excitement!

Later. A bus to the City Center and the haircut, the haircut, and then a bus home, catching it just as it arrived with twenty seconds to spare. Or maybe fifteen seconds. Hence the excitement.

And that's it for today's affairs. The temperature really is nice, wearing a long sleeved shirt over the t-shirt (as always) with a light jacket, no sweater for the haircut. Should we go out again we can leave the jacket. Watching Law & Order at the moment, but the day beckons. Things to do if I can but think of one.

Later still. A welcome surge of energy that led to a serious clean up that started by looking for a needle and thread to repair a shirt and ended up in clearing out the bedroom desk, discovering things I haven't looked at or thought about in well over a decade. And they've now been handled. Making history. My, my. Right here in Oakland.

Evening. Tired, all of a sudden. Maybe last night is catching up and will make getting to sleep tonight a breeze.

Watched the Democracy Now! I'd missed by sleeping in this morning, began Midsomer Murders that began with a séance being conducted in front of a seated audience in an old English house. That was enough for Midsomer Murders and so watched another Law & Order episode instead before checking out Charlie Rose, ending up watching about two minutes of it before going to bed. Tired.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco Saint Patrick's Day Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
