Good Attempt
Tuesday. So something's wrong, something that's causing this light headed feeling after walking relatively short distances over the last few months so a call to the family practitioner to see what decongestants are available and if I need to come in for tests. What do they say about smoking? It hits your lungs thirty years later? I smoked for a period of five years over thirty years ago now, maybe all those Camels left a little something to remember them by. Could be. You never know.

This morning I skipped taking the daily blood pressure pill - took a reading, it looked good - and I'll watch the pressure through the morning to see how long it takes to rise. Why? Well, it's been low lately in the mornings and afternoons and I'm wondering if that could be part of the problem. Although I feel funky all day, I seem to feel really clear headed and up for stuff in the evenings when my blood pressure has climbed its way back to normal or slightly above. One way or another something's happening and I need to get off my duff.

You've been putting this off forever. What's changed?

I realized it's been affecting the writing. My last few entries have required relatively extensive revision to make them comprehensible and when it gets in the way of the writing you need to: get off the sauce, if you're on the sauce; get off your butt, if you're on your butt; adjust the medicines, if the medicines aren't right and talk to you doctors if your health insurance is still tight.

Tough guys don't talk to their doctors unless they're as dead as you can get and still be breathing.

Nah. That was Mailer and that crowd. Another generation. All of us guys have been liberated from all that.

Oh yeah?

Yeah. Just now I left messages with the cardiologist and the general practitioner. So there.

You're acting like a child.

Online that's not a problem as long as there's a semblance of subject-verb-object and the punctuation looks to be a reasonably good attempt.
