Bring
Tuesday. To sleep after ten to awaken then at five fifty-five in time to listen to the five minute KPFA news before Democracy Now! started at six, getting up finally at seven-thirty to walk to breakfast on a sunny, going to be in the eighties later, morning. Wore but a t-shirt under a light summer weight jacket.
The mood good and so took pictures of the two stores that had been looted night before last, both now boarded up, another of the computer store across the way wondering if they'd added the plywood after seeing what had happened across the street. Even the trash cans underline these are uncertain times.
Arrived to enter the dining area, turned on the lights and settled in with the papers. The delivery guy had left two copies of the S.F. Chronicle as well as the N.Y. Times, but didn't leave a copy of the East Bay Times. He's now left two copies of the Chronicle on three (or four) separate occasions and not delivered the N.Y. Times, this time two Chronicles and not delivering The East Bay Times. Ah, well. There are many worse things you can experience in this life.
Finished up well after nine, the sun now bright, the temperature climbing and so off to take pictures of the same old group of flowers and celebrate the fact the nose was still holding up. No runny nose with changes in temperature. Hot coffee, the nose behaves. Walking to breakfast, the nose hasn't said a word and so another reason to be in a good mood while walking home and taking pictures.
A snapshot of the car with the broken window that's still sitting parked below the Lakeview school, another of a single scooter parked on the sidewalk by the lake and then a mural being painted on the parking lot wall at Grand and Euclid. Not bad. Better, certainly, than the bare cement. The building and then the selfie in the lobby clutching yesterday's mail to then go upstairs and essentially crash for a while before starting with this. Tired again, I'm afraid.
Later. That was about it for any semblance of coherence today. Stopped writing about two paragraphs above and finished it in the morning. Watched some of a series on the tablet this afternoon, listened to the news, had a bowl of Cheerios in the late afternoon and experienced a slight ocular symptom earlier than I thought I might. Went to bed after nine, lights out after ten. At least the nose has been behaving, we'll have to see it it holds and what tomorrow will bring.
