Again
Tuesday. A pretty lame finish to yesterday's entry, something I've said too many times, but I seem to run out of energy to write in the early to mid-afternoon. Still, lights out by ten to awaken at five minutes to six in time to listen to the KPFA five minute news. Things burning north of us here near Clear Lake, a place I've visited many times in the now far past and so there's more attention paid than it might be otherwise when just hearing about it on the news.
Out the door by six-forty, the sun blocked by a thin remaining fog, but the sun at the edge of breaking through. The restaurant was open when I arrived five minutes early than I shoot for and so good, ordered the plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee as I'd done Sunday, but this time with plenty of time to finish.
The usual walk home under what was now a bright sun. Three Bird scooters on the sidewalk for the first time, no Lime scooters in evidence yet as their keepers often arrive in the mornings after I've passed on by. So many brands, so many startups, everyone seemingly with the same business idea at the same time.
Looked at the car renewal form and it's not due until the beginning of August and so there's no need to get the smog check done this week, although I may well do it later this morning.
Later. Decided to go for the smog test from breakfast tomorrow, take the car and get it in early enough for them to finish by early afternoon. Now whether I do that or not, I don't know. Wouldn't surprise me if I put it off for another day or week around here.
Finished the parade photographs, all two sections. Just barely enough for the two. We'll do the web pages and thumbnail picture links tomorrow, both tasks less time consuming than processing the photographs themselves.
Which means you'll post them tomorrow?
Which means there's a chance.
A nap and then another nap, watched some of the Nigeria-Argentina game, Argentina pulling it out at the last minute. Would have watched the Iceland-Croatia game if I had a way to receive it, my mother's side of the family coming from Iceland. Probably wouldn't have watched all of it, but then it's odd I've watched any soccer at all.
Evening. Finished the evening watching too many things on the tablet, dipped into Hersh's Reporter for a while and then lights out. Again.
