Know

Tuesday. The fan sitting at the foot of the bed was on most of last night, the air cool, the sleep I'm assuming pretty good. Awakened at five after six, remembering I'd been warned the morning café might open at seven rather than six-thirty today, and so took my time in getting up and putting together all three papers before heading out at six-forty. A ten minute walk to find the owner's daughter, who'd been tasked with opening this morning, had been there for some time and I could have arrived earlier. Probably our excitement for the day.

Don't knock it.

The oatmeal, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, the aversion to fried anything pretty much determining my selection. Took my time reading the papers before heading home: the sky clear, the sun shining, the temperature just fine. They forecast today's temperature would be much like yesterday's temperature and yesterday's temperature wasn't a problem. My problem yesterday, slow and sleeping through most of the day, was not due to the weather. I suspect yesterday's sleep-a-thon was enough to wind our little self back together and we'll do just fine today, one way or another.

Later. A decent day, low seventies out there, spent an hour or so finishing that episode I'd zoned out on yesterday and then took a walk over to the lake to sit in the sun for a while. Nice t-shirt weather, people about, sat for maybe ten minutes and then returned to the apartment, none of the need to crash and burn of these last few days.

I've managed to put off making that appointment with the dental surgeon now for two days, but finally called just now and made an appointment. I suspect I'd have been more diligent if it had been hurting, but all it does is leak every now and again. Still, my own dentist urged me to have it looked after and I find it difficult to not follow instructions, even though unquestionably following has led to some decisions I regret.

You're starting to wander there.

I have a long history with this particular subject.

Evening. Not a bad day. Nothing much happening other than eating and watching too many things on the tablet. Skipped most of today's news programs, something a little different around here, but did note the Republican Handel had won the Georgia district six election. What that may mean in this life (or the next) I don't know.

The photo up top was taken at the 2013 Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
