Winding

Monday. All the windows wide open with the fan on low at the foot of the bed to get to sleep not long after ten to awaken then just before six, the outdoor temperature much cooler than the temperature in the apartment and so leaving the windows open as I set out for breakfast.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee again. Ate more than enough yesterday, don't need to eat after that for another week. Well, until I get home. Still quite a bit of stuff left over from yesterday's swing by the supermarket.

Warmer walking home, no need for the light jacket, a t-shirt more than enough. A picture or two as I found them, home to set up the fan and edit yesterday's entry. They're saying cooler today from yesterday's high of ninety-seven, but not that much cooler, and so we'll chill our little self here and take the day as it may come.

Later. Seventy-three in contrast to yesterday's ninety-seven at this time in the early afternoon, the day so far just one long semi-conscious nap. Not able to sleep, but tired. Not overly warm, not overly awake.

Evening. Tired of listening to the news, yes, but more just tired. A nap in the early evening sleeping right through Democracy Now!. Without regret. Watched the second episode of a series I find I'm liking on the tablet, but realized after thirty minutes it wasn't registering, occurring to me later that I probably experienced a sort of ocular event. They come in many forms and flavors.

Didn't remember what had happened during the episode when I stopped, can't recall any of it now. Twenty degrees cooler today and it still feels too warm. Not over the top too warm, just too warm, the spring in my clock run down and in need of a good winding.

The photo up top was taken at the 2013 Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
