With That

Tuesday. A decent night's sleep awakening a little early at twenty to six, but dawdling as best as I was able to set out for breakfast at the usual time of six-thirty, no East Bay Times in sight. Such is life.

Overcast, the clouds burning off minutes after nine. The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast. I'm discovering I've read about a quarter of the stories in the morning papers the day before online and so go more quickly through the reading than I otherwise might. Still, plenty left to keep me entertained.

The usual walk home, the usual pictures, the usual edit of yesterday's entry to then post it routine. Seems to keep me amused so no complaining, bitching or moaning this morning.

Plenty of things you can pull from you complaining list.

Now, now. First we need to get outside and either go or decide not to go somewhere before we begin bitching. Give us another hour.

Later. Checked the NextBus app to see one was due in three minutes, three minutes the time I've found it usually takes to walk to the stop and so out the door to beat the bus by twenty seconds. So good, the bus downtown to the City Center to have a Chicken Caesar salad and coffee at the bagel shop in the sun at one of their outside tables. Good. Finished it off with a box of Good & Plenty.

In passing the construction site at 17th and Broadway coming in on the bus, I'd decided to walk back by after and take pictures. Which is what I did. Interesting to see how they're preparing the foundation.

On then home, passing the intersection at Harrison and Grand to see they'd finished the lane divider, but that they'd now started work on the off ramp from Harrison and so another picture. Similarly with the entrance to Children's Fairyland, more work on the sidewalk and entrance. How many street related projects have we seen over these last many years? I suspect, if they'd done similar work throughout the country, we wouldn't be talking about rebuilding the national infrastructure. But then I'm just guessing.

Home feeling tired from the walk, but without any of the odd bottled up wobbly feelings I described yesterday. The sinus-upper palate was acting up and it does give a certain “bottled up” feeling, but otherwise I felt pretty good. Nothing to bitch about. Lied down on the bed for five minutes, tired, but not wobbly. Which is good.

Evening. Another fill it in next morning description of the evening having watched Democracy Now!, as usual, and then the first interview on Charlie Rose, not unusual, before heading to bed. No interest in the tablet and so lights out. Not a bad day, today. What No sign of the “wobblies” in evidence. We can live with that.

The photo up top was taken at the 2013 San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
