Taking Myself Seriously
Half a week, half a week, half a week onward! On through the Valley of Oakland rode the.... Well, yes. What rhymes with six hundred? And Balaclava? Wasn't that near...? Well, no, it's in the Ukraine, which is closer to Iraq than California, but still a fair distance what with the roads and the mountains and the rocket launchers and such. A three day weekend coming, so who gives a duck?

Lunch at Ginza, the sushi place near Jack London Square. I ate something called their Tofu salad special, $4.95, and it was good; the vegetarian rolls were OK, but I wouldn't recommend them. Maybe I should have gotten the Chicken Whatever. There's always a Chicken Whatever.

And that describes your day?

I guess. Plenty to do, a nice lunch just mentioned, out the door just before six an hour later than normal. I thought to go by the blues concert in Old Oakland, but I looked at my watch and realized there was a bus arriving in six minutes at the bus stop located some four minutes down the street and decided it was time to git. So I got. Gitted. Whatever.

Another day of "feeling good", which is good. I've said this before. Good. I've been thinking of ways to retire in the next year. I haven't been willing to look for other employment, how about looking for gainful retirement? I laughed (you laugh at such thoughts), but then I realized I was taking myself seriously.
