When We Were Told
Two very good days, these last two days. I hope it's not the result of having a colonoscopy. Seems a bit much, that, just to turn your head around. Unless it lasts. I was hoping the cure might be something like having a good breakfast in the morning or a nice dinner the night before. That fried rice dinner I mentioned, for example. I could do fried rice more often if it made me feel like this. Well. Life tells you, you don't tell life. Be thankful you're still communicating.

Watched Tampopo last night on DVD. I'd forgotten how good it is. A classic examination of Japanese culture, of a certain Japanese culture (this authoritatively from a fellow who's spent all of two days in Japan.) A samurai epic without the sword.

There's a mandatory meeting tomorrow to make some sort of announcement. We all looked at one another when we were told.

The banner photograph was taken in the Grand Lake theater area outside of a chocolate shop in Oakland with a Nikon D2h mounted with a 70 - 200mm f 2.8 Nikkor lens at ISO 200.
