Rest

Saturday. Lights out reasonably early, there was a brief period after midnight when I was more awake than I'd have liked, but awaking for good at ten to six to get up and get ready for breakfast, feeling the usual just out of bed “what's going on?” to head out for breakfast on an overcast, but not overly cool morning deciding, all in all, things were going well.

Passed by three Bird scooters on the way to breakfast, thinking I'd compare it to the same area when returning home, see how many, if any, had been picked up by passers by. Ordered the cinnamon French toast with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, thinking it a conservative choice for possible ocular occurrences and the fact it sounded good. Read the papers and headed back home after eight-thirty, guessing I'd set out for San Francisco and the Anime and Cosplay Festival at noon.

Still overcast, two pictures of people on the sidewalk setting out for home, an obligatory picture of one of the flowers below the Lakeview school, the walking going well. No thought I might skip taking pictures later in Japantown. A line of Lime scooters had appeared by the lake and one of the Bird scooters had been pressed into service. They do seem to get used.

OK, it's ten, the head seems in one piece, let's see what happens between now and noon. We're pretty much out of photographs from earlier outings to fit in the picture slot above, be nice to come home today with a new supply. The festival also runs tomorrow. Two days of shooting would be really nice.

Bite your tongue, take them one at a time.

Of course. My bad, mouthing off with the Photography Fates looking down on us from above.

Later. Looked at the watch, decided it was time and so set out for the bus stop, arriving two minutes before the bus arrived, arriving at the BART station as the train was pulling in and somehow managed to pull the same stunt off with the Geary bus, it too arriving just as I arrived. So luck was with us and we spend an hour and a half shooting pictures at the Anime & Cosplay Festival, getting enough to put together two sections for artandlife.

Not tired from all the running around, the head clear, feeling good. Just like that. Tomorrow? Flip a coin is as good as any guess.

Evening. Processed maybe a dozen of the photographs and that was enough. Still feel just fine, none of the fuzzy headed crap, futzing with the pictures and listening to the Dodgers-Angels game playing on television in the living room. Interesting day, it being clear headed and all the rest.

Today at the San Francisco Anime & Cosplay Festival taken with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
