He Needed Sleep

Wednesday. A nice full bore ocular migraine episode after posting last night. Haven't had one of those in a while, although I had a little teaser version while napping on Sunday. So we are in Wonderland again. A decent night's sleep, up this morning before the alarm just after five-thirty, a product, I'm guessing, of getting to bed so early.

One symptom of this thing that came on stronger than I've seen before was the mouth feeling both dry and full of cotton. Full of something anyway. Quite intense and unpleasant. Hard to describe, but I drank what must have been half a gallon of water thinking it might help. Don't know if it did, don't know if it didn't, but it caused me to get up more than a couple of times last night to take a pee, deedle-dee-dee. Yes it did.

So we are back now from breakfast feeling mortal. Even the breakfast had its little hook. Maybe having tea for the first time this morning instead of coffee, the stomach aching painfully toward the end of the meal, so we need to slow down here and chill. No more mind games over this than necessary. I have my guitar lesson coming up at ten, maybe play a few notes to loosen up now, then again maybe just lie down for a bit. At least I got my practice in yesterday before things fell apart.

Later. Another nap. My performance at the guitar lesson was a little rocky, nothing too terrible, but I have work to do. Best to have work to do over this coming week (hup! hup!). Memorization is involved. Notes. Chords. Riffs. Mistakes. Lots of mistakes. An hour and a half nap when I got home, though. For some reason I guess I still need sleep. Good thing I'm not in Africa, I'd be hallucinating myself into a case of sleeping sickness.

Later still. What I've done today is nap. It's six right now and I've been lying in bed on and off since returning from my guitar lesson. Feeling better however now that it's six. Somewhat hungry. Not hungry enough to go out and get something to eat, but the evening is young. Then again, maybe I'll turn in early and get some needed sleep. Needed sleep. He needed sleep. Beep! Beep!

The photograph was taken of the Grand Lake theater marquee recently with a Nikon D3s mounted with an 24 - 120mm f 4.0 Nikkor VR lens.
