Again

Wednesday. An ocular event in the evening the night before at least results in getting to bed and to sleep early as it did last night to then awaken at five-thirty and take it easy getting up, shaved and the rest, setting out for breakfast feeling much better though than I had setting out yesterday. If one is keeping score. No pain in the right knee, not much in the way of watering eyes and such, the attitude good. Excitement, in other words, early in the morning before seven.

Had the French toast with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast. I seem to be favoring this over the plain waffle, probably because it's “cinnamon” French toast. Tastes good, although it's probably less good for you.

Clear and cold, but not that cold, walking home under a bright sun. The discarded supermarket basket filled with stuff is still sitting near the Ford Rent-a-bike line in front of the old Grand Fare Market and so a picture. An odd thing to be taking pictures of. A least we're consistent.

Home to take down the jury duty post card I'd taped to the calendar and place it on the desk. I need to call after five to see if I will have to show up at the court tomorrow morning. I'm hoping not, I've managed to avoid going in the past when my group wasn't called, but my group number this time is 4000. Sounds like a first in line number and so maybe we're going to have to go to court tomorrow.

Later. Started the laundry at eleven after thinking I was going to put it off for another few days and finished up after two. I need to go by an ATM today and so headed down to the bus stop after, but the bus for that time slot didn't arrive. Happens more often than you'd think. I'd think. Back to the apartment. I hadn't been feeling all that clear headed as I was waiting, so decided to drive by the Lakeshore ATM in the morning if I'm not due in court. All this is more complicated than it sounds when you're feeling “fuzzy headed”. As I was.

Evening. Checked the court web site as directed after five: no jurors needed in the morning, check back after eleven tomorrow to see if any are needed in the afternoon just as I'd been hoping and so we'll be able to go by that ATM on the way to breakfast tomorrow.

You could just charge breakfast on a card. They do take plastic you know.

More habit than need, I guess.

Watched the episode on the tablet I'd watched when going under the ocular episode last night. Didn't remember any of it. Ah, well. Checked out Midsomer Murders at seven to discover I'd seen it before and definitely didn't need to see it again. So we'll go back to bed and see if we can warm up again to the tablet. It's been a long day getting things done. Feels good for that, might try it again.
