With This

Saturday. Awakened this morning at twenty past six after what I've generally been calling a decent night's sleep, getting up and getting ready to walk to breakfast on another clear morning, the sun starting to rise over the eastern hills. Oh and, of course, we skipped taking the pain meds this morning. So good. We've started the test.

So far none of what I've not very accurately termed the “funky” feelings of yesterday, but still quite tired. Yes, there's a difference, but why so tired? Who knows, but no way I was going to edit yesterdays' entry within any reasonable amount of time when I got home and so to bed to rest instead, getting up finally at eleven in time to catch the bus. We'll post that scrambled mess after.

Later. Found people gathering at 14th and Broadway for the march and so an hour plus taking pictures. A decent crowd, some of them I learned, taking a chartered bus to San Jose later this afternoon where a much larger March For Bernie has been planned. Didn't even think about going.

Flagging, I ran well out of gas before the crowd was ready to set out and so over to the City Center bagel shop where I had a turkey and Swiss cheese sandwich out at a table. Which I needed. Heard the crowd obviously starting out on their march in the distance and so crossed back over to the City Hall, taking pictures as they marched into the distance. Too tired to even think about following after.

To Broadway to wait for the bus only to find the march coming toward us feeding onto Broadway from across the street and so more pictures, but again, tired, stayed in place and waited on that bus.

Quite a few “tired's” here. Any of yesterday's “feeling funky's”?

Just tired. Bushed. Home to lie down, getting up once or twice (or thrice) to continue with yesterday's entry. Not particularly upset with all of this tired business yet, let's see how the next couple of days go without the damned pain meds and with more rest. I suspect whatever this is will take time. And I'm too tired to worry about it.

Evening. Nothing on television, some brief attempts at watching one or two (or three) things on the tablet before giving up. Still hungry, still tired, but less tired now than earlier, although definitely ready for bed having, by now, put everyone else to sleep with this.

The photo up top was taken this noon hour at the downtown Oakland March for Bernie 2 with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
