Monday. To sleep not all that long after ten to awaken at six-fifteen, take the blood pressure (looked good) and then listen to the rest of Democracy Now! before getting up and walking to breakfast on an overcast and cold (for California boys) morning, arriving to enter the indoor dining area, turn on the lights and settle in at my table with the papers.
The Eggs Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee, not quite finishing the country potatoes for the first time in quite a while. OK, something new. Finished up and went by the bathroom to good effect before leaving, the sky still overcast, but with a reasonably light step to again take the usual series of neurotic/idiotic pictures and then run into two neighbors across from my apartment house, both asking me if I'd taken before and after pictures of the balcony construction.
Talked with them for a while, letting them know those of us with apartments with bracing on their balconies would have to move. The first they'd heard, but one, the owner of the apartment house opposite mine suggested, when the time came, that her sons could help with the move and so we traded numbers.
Home to take the selfie, take the blood pressure (still good) and settle in at the computer to start here.
Later. A dose of the blood pressure med at noon and at three-thirty with the numbers not all that out of line. Similar to yesterday's readings. Watched more DCI Banks than any sensible person should and that's pretty much been the afternoon.
Evening. More tablet until just after eight, lights out again not long after nine. Cold, but nice snuggled down under the covers.
