Saturday. To sleep after ten to awaken at a quarter to six to get up, take the blood pressure (just fine) and then listen to the news until seven to get up and walk to breakfast on a cold morning under clear skies, arriving to enter the indoor dining area, turn on the lights and settle in at my table with the papers.

The single pork chop, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up at nine thinking maybe I'd better head for the bathroom before leaving. Which I did to good effect. OK, out the door, the sun now bright requiring some extra futzing with exposures as I took the usual string of pictures along the way.

Arrived home, took the selfie in the lobby, took the blood pressure to find it behaving and so settled in at the computer and went through the usual get the journal together routine, ending up here at eleven.

Later. Keeping it to two doses of the blood pressure med yesterday as instructed by the cardiologist worked out reasonably well, the numbers not as high as they've been in the past, but today turned out to be another matter. Took a med at noon, took another at two-fifteen, but the numbers stayed in the one-forties with two or three reaching the one-fifties starting around two this afternoon. But we'll forward the numbers to the cardiologist on Monday, see if an adjustment can be made.

Otherwise time lying down on the bed with the tablet, ending up starting the first season of DCI Banks, a series I've seen later episodes of in the past on public television. Probably better all around if I'd gotten out of the apartment and over to the lake instead with a camera.

Evening. Watched the first fifteen minutes of The Misfits at eight starring Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable, a film I've only heard of and read about, but realized once it started that I hadn't seen. For whatever reason I bailed after fifteen minutes, but it started well. I should track it down one of these coming days and watch it through.

Lights out after nine, but my own lights flickering until after eleven.
