Wednesday. Awakened briefly but once last night, although the sinus-upper palate problem was significantly more active than it has been in the past, something I'm blaming on the way my head is propped up on the pillow as I watch stuff on the tablet, the head and neck at too sharp an angle while watching. The metal frame that holds the tablet seems to demand the setup and, after last night, I may well have to find a way to resolve the problem.

Up just after six to leave at the usual time, but without the East Bay Times in tow, the morning overcast again, but not particularly cold. A comfortable walk, in other words, to have the two strips of bacon, eggs over medium, country potatoes, toast, sliced bananas, and coffee breakfast. Seemed right.

The usual walk and pictures heading home, the walk home as usual seemingly going more quickly than the walk to, probably because I have the camera in hand on the walk home and become distracted looking here and there for photographs, even when I don't think I'm looking here and there for photographs. None of the “when will we get there” thoughts when your mind is distracted by something else.

Nothing on the schedule today unless I can dig something up on the web or elsewhere that calls out to be photographed. You never know what may come along in these too interesting times.

Later. Watched episodes of Law & Order, all but one of which I've seen before. Set out thinking I might go downtown and pick up a box of Good & Plenty if for nothing else, but found the NextBus app had given me a bogus bus arrival time and so headed back. Didn't take much, just turned around and went home. So much for adventure.

Sun, seventy degrees, nice day. Realized I hadn't run any prints in quite a while and so printed half a dozen taken in these last couple of months. Discovered I hadn't taken many that were worth printing. Well, confirmed I haven't taken many worth printing, probably since the Dykes on Bikes series from the LGBT Pride Parade. We have an opportunity coming up with Art & Soul in Oakland this weekend. Not as easy to find images at Art & Soul as in the forming up of parades, but then it's a two day event: fail on one, succeed on the next.

Evening. Skipped the last half of Democracy Now! and spent the time on the tablet, getting up as usual to check out Charlie Rose to see what he had scheduled on Trump's latest press statements. And people wonder why dystopian themed movies are so popular.

The photo up top was taken at the Pistahan Festival Sunday in San Francisco with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
