Wrong

Sunday. Some difficulty in getting to sleep, last night, and so worried a little about being ready to photograph the Saint Stupid's Day Parade later today, but awakened finally at six-fifteen to get up and get out the door to drive to breakfast just before seven feeling pretty good, I thought.

Had the oatmeal, toast and coffee breakfast to take no chances with whatever else on the menu that might tangle with ocular symptoms, took the usual pictures leaving the restaurant and then drove to the supermarket to buy all the things I should have taken care of earlier in March. Not a bad drive, the attitude good and the head clear. Things are looking good for getting out the door in another hour.

Later. Some days go better than others and today's trip to San Francisco turned out to be better and with more luck than many. Better for being clear headed and upbeat, lucky in that I followed a couple carrying a “This is not a sine” placard off BART when we got to the Embarcadero station. who started walking in what I thought was the wrong direction.

“Are you going to the Saint Stupid's Day Parade?”

Yes. At the base of the Transamerica building.

“I'd thought it was forming up by the Embarcadero fountain.”

No, they said, at the Pyramid.

Well, they could well be wrong. I'd thought it said Embarcadero when I wrote it on the calendar, but hadn't checked to confirm it before setting out this morning. And if not, it wasn't all that long a walk from the Pyramid to the Embarcadero fountain and so I set out in their direction to find the Saint Stupid's Day people had indeed started forming up at the Pyramid and the couple had set me right.

That's the luck I mentioned. The fact I caught BART both ways with but a two or three minute wait on either one was just frosting on the cake. Oh, and that the NextBus app had said I'd missed the bus home by two minutes getting off BART, but then it turned out the bus was in fact running late and I ended up waiting for all of two minutes instead of twenty-two. Something this day was clearly on my side.

Evening. Ate too much today, as is usually the case when I've gone to the supermarket in the morning, but nothing too off the chart. Processed pictures, watched some golf on television, watched the two Elementary episodes and a bunch of other stuff, didn't get to bed until after nine. Again, a better than usual day, this first day in April, an Easter Sunday, no less, where literally nothing has gone wrong.

Yesterday at Lake Merritt taken with a Nikon D500 mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
