Coming Retirement
Wednesday. Not such a bad day this day. What happened? The drive into work was a bit complicated, the car almost out of gas (I noticed I was low returning to Oakland from Palo Alto yesterday, but forgot about it until this morning when the light in the speedometer went bright and steady), a trip to find a station, then a drive by a coffee shop to buy coffee in order to get change for the parking lot, then, well, a walk into the office all tuckered out from all these adventures and exertions. It is sometimes suggested to me that I'm in a rut but, as you can see, I'm living a life of challenge and excitement.

A trip up to Nevada City Friday to see MRB, whom I've not seen now in twenty-five years. A three day weekend behind, a three day weekend ahead. Training wheels, maybe, for a coming retirement.

The photograph was taken at the Oakland Art and Soul festival with a Nikon D2X mounted with a 105mm 2.8 VR Micro Nikkor lens at 1/350th, f 2.8, ISO 100.
