Hey
Wednesday. I did really crash and burn last night to the point I didn't have the energy (and perhaps the balance) to brush my teeth in the usual routine, but dropped off to sleep immediately to wake up at six and turn on the radio to listen to Democracy Now!. A good long night's rest, at least, as I usually get when it's set off by whatever it was last night (ocular migraine-like tiredness) and so up and out the door on another cool (eyes watering) walk to breakfast, the restaurant open when I arrived.
The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, not trusting anything too fried after yesterday's adventure. If I were other than lazy I'd go back and see if there's a correlation between what I'd eaten for breakfast and what happens later in the mornings, but I'm not. Other than lazy.
Finished up at a quarter to nine, the sun bright, the walk rather nice (no aching sinus problems, relatively clear headed, good energy) on the way home taking the usual pictures. Still somehow enjoy taking the usual pictures, mind numbingly similar as they are.
Nothing on the schedule for the day. Another World Series game this evening, not that I'm all that interested in the series, but one hopes tonight's listening conditions will be better than it was for last night's game and I'll be able to get it together to brush my teeth before going to bed. At the least.
Boo-hoo!
We're just noting it all down as we stumble along.
Later. I was thinking of heading downtown after the noon hour to get lunch at the City Center, maybe a salad at Fountain's big salad bar, but wasn't yet winning the idea of going until I remembered I was out of triple-A batteries needed for the television remote and the bathroom scale. That seemed to do the trick and so out the door to catch the bus, the day nice, the sun bright.
Bought the batteries at Walgreen's and indeed put together a large salad at Fountain's and sat outside at one of their tables quite clear headed and happy to be there. Good. No signs of this or that from yesterday.
A walk then back by the building construction site at 17th and Broadway, on farther to take a picture of a hot rod we'd passed on the bus near Grand and then the usual set of pictures of the Webster and Valdez apartment house construction sites with four minutes to spare before the bus arrived. Tired and at the edge of wobbly by then and so straight home on the bus, wobbly again arriving after climbing my hill. Lied down for half an hour and all was well.
Evening. The World Series on television, no need to lie down and listen to the rest of the day on the radio, which, after last night, means it's been a good (enough) day. Hey.
