Again

Tuesday. Lights out well before ten to find it somewhat more difficult getting to sleep than it was the night before last, but then I wasn't as tired as I was the night before last. No problem. Awoke again six minutes before six to listen to the news as I got ready to walk to breakfast, thinking it was dark and it would be cool outside and so we'd better wear a long sleeved shirt and winter coat.

A warm breeze. Didn't need a coat, winter or summer, to arrive before the restaurant had opened. Hi, ho. Didn't wait all that long, but it was warm waiting, standing, twiddling my thumbs in that winter coat.

Splurged on a bacon, avocado, mushroom and cheese omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee. Thought about the bacon and cheese. Not much bacon, but a fair amount of cheese, enough to have been concerning back when I was having recurrent ocular migraines. That and the fact I'd stopped taking the pill they'd prescribed for the migraines last week. We'll see. So far not a peep.

They're saying it will hit ninety today and I believe them. Warmer in the sun walking home, but bearable. Bright sun, clear skies and now sitting in front of the fan futzing with this. Have no idea what the day will bring, should do the laundry, but haven't started it yet. We'll see.

Later. It is really, really warm inside this apartment and, I'm guessing, it's even warmer outside. Don't want to open the door and find out. Did the laundry, though, and now it's two o'clock when the news programs start, so we'll collapse in a chair, watch/listen to the news and finish folding the socks. They're saying ten degrees cooler tomorrow. Why so warm this late in October when I don't remember it being quite so warm earlier this spring and summer? Or am I hallucinating and not remembering similar melt downs?

Maybe not this warm, but we've had warm Octobers.

Let's hope we have a nice cold rainy November. Encourage it to arrive early.

Later still. Ninety-two degrees outside and close to it here inside and so the fan is never more than a few feet away. The laundry is all done, folded and hung and the World Series is kicking off in another hour. Well, maybe not “kicking off”, but it starts at five and I'm looking forward to watching something a little different for a change.

Evening. Pitching, punctuated by home runs, but mostly pitching and the first game goes to the Dodgers. Enjoyed the game, no complaints. Waited for fifteen minutes when it was over to check out Charlie Rose and ended up watching the first short political interview before going to bed. The usual Trump has gone off his trolley again.

The photo up top was taken at the Defend DACA demonstration last month at the Oakland City Hall with Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
