O'clock

Monday. I did go to bed early, but then started a movie on the tablet that suckered me in and I didn't turn out the lights until eleven. No excuses, no complaints, we do these things. One hopes not too often.

A long uneven light night's sleep to awaken at six twenty-five, getting up and out the door to walk to breakfast without any problem, but wondering what things were going to be like later in the day. The worst, I was figuring, would be a nap. We can do naps. Blindfolded.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast. We were serious about getting away from anything fried for the while, see if that has any effect on the ocular events that tend to come in the late mornings.

The walk back home was interrupted by this guy who was shouting and cursing at the top of his lungs out in the street. I'd carefully walked by him, as I'd heard him earlier while finishing breakfast over the papers, and had been disturbed enough by it to think about getting up and checking to see what was going on in case whoever it was decided to enter the restaurant. Anyway, a couple of pictures taken at a distance before walking on to the apartment. There are downsides to walking, even without carrying a camera.

Sunny out there with some clouds, the weather people saying a fifty percent chance of rain later this afternoon, so who knows what's in store? At least there have been no signs of dry mouth or other unhappy symptoms so far.

Later. A light intermittent rain starting in the mid-afternoon and so a day inside listening to the usual news programs and getting in a nap. No sign of ocular anythings, which is good. We'll continue with the no fried anything breakfast program in the morning.

Evening. Listened to Democracy Now!. Sort of. Had it running in the background, getting up to check it out after having watched the first half of another movie on the tablet. If we finish it this evening, it won't take long and it will end well before last night's eleven o'clock.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco 2013 Veterans Day Parade with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
