Under Construction

Today in downtown Oakland

November 11th, 2005

Always Tomorrow
Thursday. Pills and coffee in the mornings to get me through the day, but (surprise!) I'd rather be in bed. But I'm not, as many of us are not, having need to make the rent and keep the kids and critters fed. One would have hoped that not having kids the task might be easier, and it certainly is, but not that much easier, and every task completed has another slack jawed brother or sister pressing hard up against you in a never ending line. Leads to something stronger than coffee for lunch, let me tell you, something stronger than lunch for dinner. Here in Oakland.

Bullshit!

Indeed, but it gets the blood pumping and the words flowing and sometimes, but only sometimes, it leads to things you didn't know you had inside your head.

And it did?

No. But tomorrow. There's always tomorrow.

The photograph was taken today in downtown Oakland with a Nikon D2x mounted with a 17-55mm f 2.8 Nikkor lens at 1/6th second at f 2.8 at ISO 100.
