Wednesday. Lights out by nine forty-five, after checking the radio news to see if the Warriors had won the first game in the playoffs. They had. Good. To sleep to awaken at five. Five. In and out of sleep until just before six to get up and prepare to walk to breakfast, checking the weather. They've been saying another atmospheric river will deliver rain starting this morning, but somewhat later this morning and it looked alright when I checked, but realized when leaving the building that the street was wet and maybe I should drive. Ah, well, walked to breakfast, the rain starting just as I arrived.

The chicken-apple sausage, eggs over medium, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, raining fairly hard as I read the papers. When was the bus due to arrive out front? Finished up just after eight-thirty, checked the schedule at the stop to see I'd missed the bus by five minutes. OK, not raining right then, on to walk home, the rain holding up until I was approaching the apartment house front door, inside nice and dry as I took the selfie and headed upstairs.

I'm guessing we're going to be inside for much of the coming week, driving instead of walking to breakfast in the mornings. Now to see if this phone connection to the new provider works and if they've made the switch at the phone companies. I suspect there are more obstacles to clear before we're there.

Later. Sat down and finished the How Weird Street Faire web section for most of the afternoon, posting it to artandlife. Turned it right out without a second thought.

Evening. Two more German episodes of The Weissensee Saga from six to eight, reinforcing any thought that living in East Germany under the Stasi was anything but unpleasant. I'd thought the series had been finished last week, as the main characters had either been put in prison or otherwise gotten rid of, but not so as they needed to be brought back and given more grief (I guess.) Still unsettling, but I watched both it and the Dutch Baantjer Mysteries – The Murder Out Of Fear episode that followed, putting me to bed after nine with lights out at ten, later than I'd have liked.

The photo up top was taken at the How Weird Street Faire with a Nikon D500 mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
