As If He Knew
Monday. I'd seen the Wallander episode last night, had no idea of how it turned out of course, who'd done it and such and so bailed after about twenty-five minutes and thereby cutting short my time on the guitar. We'll catch up today. Hey.

Anyway, a good night's sleep, awakening fifteen minutes after six, the morning café opening an hour later this Memorial Day morning, although I was assuming they'd be there when I arrived. And they were. A good breakfast in an almost deserted dining room, bright sun, not many cars or people stirring. That will no doubt pick up. Home now to work on pictures with a break in there somewhere for a walk.

Later. Lots of pictures, enough I now find for five sections rather than my first thought of four, one hundred plus photographs and it will take more time to get them done. They won't be ready today, probably not until late tomorrow. An interesting process. There are probably only a dozen that are in any way special, the rest “good” enough and worthy, but there's nothing wrong with that. The internal tussle that afflicts all photographers.

A walk to the ATM over on Lakeshore starting out along the lake and passing by the four goslings and their ever vigilant parents. Not sure “ever vigilant” includes sitting right out in the middle of a puddle on the main path around the lake, every person running/walking/slowing down and stopping to take a look, some taking a wider berth with dogs on leashes. Didn't want to think about the dog who comes by without a leash. What might its attitude be about bite size feather dusters sitting right there in front of their nose?

To the ATM and then back around to the morning restaurant for lunch, a roast beef sandwich and lemonade. When's the last time I've had a roast beef sandwich? I can't remember. A picture of one of the pandorea flowers to make up for not taking a picture this morning.

You did take a picture this morning.

It, you might have noticed, was out of focus.

Later still. Finished putting the pictures through Lightroom and Photoshop when I got home. Now to create the small thumbnail links in Photoshop and prepare the necessary web pages. This will be done by the end of day tomorrow.

Evening. Nothing on television, we'll finish up on guitar and get to bed before ten. He said with a serious demeanor, as if he knew what he was doing.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco Carnaval Parade yesterday with a Nikon D4s mounted with an 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
