To Play Out
Friday. I keep Ms. Emmy inside on Friday the 13th. Of course I keep her inside all of the rest of the days of the week given the traffic and the lack of second floor access.

It cooled off last night, but it took time for the apartment to become comfortable. Up early this morning after getting to bed quite early, tossing and turning before getting to sleep because of the temperature. And maybe the sake. I didn't mention the sake. Anyway, up this morning feeling pretty good, reading the papers with interest, thinking thoughts of doing this and doing that with a camera. Because of the sake last night? Am I more clear headed and feeling better this morning for the sake or the fact it's cooler or because it's Friday and this Friday, for some reason, has been selected to be clear headed? Or none of the above? Weighty matters for a Friday, here in Oakland.

Crapped out on Harrington's yesterday, by the way. I'm becoming quite predictable. Mr. E called and said something about opting out to take his daughter to the mall. He too is becoming predictable. And Mr. Sake last night. Perhaps he is becoming too predictable.

So, a walk down to the ATM next to the Grand Lake theater, a quick maybe 30 minute nap, a drive downtown to buy my first senior discount bus ticket/pass only to find I needed a picture card and their picture card camera was down, back to the apartment now thinking another nap. Another nap? OK. If this is the way it.s going to play out.
