This Is All Good
Wednesday. So I went to the doctor today and we went over my history with the aching sinuses stuff (four years of it now) and we talked about this and we talked about that and he upped the dosage of one of my prescriptions and added another (for pain) to the mix. I picked the new one up at a pharmacy near the office and popped one of the pills to see how they worked. I realize I had no real hope they would work - odd: I realize I just assumed they'd be a dud without really thinking about it - and so now it's after work and I've taken another (as per the doctor's instructions) and I'm not sure if I'm feeling better or not. I felt pretty cruddy for whatever reason this morning, so maybe it's made things better and what I really need is an attitude adjustment.

Interesting set of warnings on the new prescription though: if it looks like you're beginning to stop breathing, talk to your doctor; if you get dizzy and fall over, talk to your doctor; if you drink alcohol while you're taking these little pills, you'll wish you hadn't; it might be best to begin taking a laxative when you begin taking these pills as you might suffer the constipation side effect and that (believe us) won't be any fun. I guess the “get up slowly from a sitting or a lying position” is pretty much standard on any of them these days. I'm pretty sure there's no problem drinking a little sake later this evening, though. Certainly that wouldn't be considered alcohol? I thought not.

Otherwise a pretty good day. Hot and a bit humid for my taste, but it is now late in the afternoon and the temperature has dropped, the fan is blowing a slow breeze over my lap and I have finished the day in one piece. This is all good, here in Oakland.
