Can Be Exciting
Thursday. OK, some days god is on your side, some days god is down in Rio taking the waters without a thought for tomorrow and some days god is pissed at who knows whom (doodle-dee-doom). Today was her day to be in Rio letting all the good little boys and girls survive on their own without her supervision. This is not all bad, even in Oakland.

What does that mean, exactly?

It means the well oiled writing machine is using a deux ex machina to get it started. It means I don't capitalize god except when I capitalize God and god, who is both male-female-neuter and not male-female-neuter rolled into one (or not rolled into one - we've slipped into late sixties hot pop hippie talk here) is referred to as “she”, as in steamy “she” after midnight, thee moaning “oh god! oh god!”, and she, well, she: the three letter capitalized and non capitalized center of attention. A situation, I'm afraid, that I can only dimly remember. Or is this more information than your required?

Friday. A couple of glasses of Guinness followed by a shot of Johnny Walker Red after work, a conscious flirting with Saturday morning disaster, but a good afternoon never the less. I left the office after 3:00 and got home after 6:00, the day warm and sunny, but not too warm (can it ever be too sunny?) and now it's evening and I'm looking forward to my Chinese television programs on the Chinese television channel (one of them with cryptic almost decipherable English subtitles) starting at 8:00. Life can be exciting.
