Ten-Ten
Sunday. Awoke again before six to listen to the radio before setting out to drive to breakfast, taking the blood pressure as usual (114/68), but putting off taking the blood pressure med, thinking I'd check the pressure when I got back and take it then depending on the reading. Clear skies, bright sun, they're saying as high as eighty degrees today again, arriving at the usual time to settle in with the papers in the blocked off dining area.
The Eggs Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee this time, finishing up a little early not long after nine, to head to the car taking the usual two pictures when I drive, arriving home, taking the selfie and then just making it to the bathroom before suffering an accident. Same happened yesterday morning.
Given my eating schedule the bowel movements happen when I get home from breakfast in the mornings about every third day when averaged over a month, but why make it a race to get to the bathroom in time more often than not?
Took the blood pressure when I arrived at nine-thirty, 113/63, lower than when I'd first gotten up. OK. We'll continue with the monitoring. The usual finish yesterday's entry, post, start on this and maybe get out for a short walk later. I'm thinking I'll drive the car a couple of more times and then have it checked at the smog test shop. If it fails again, take it to the dealer.
Later. Watched the golf tournament from noon to three. Interesting finish. A walk halfway down the hill to the break in the buildings where there's an overlook and you can see the parking lot down below with the lake in the distance across Grand to check out the crowd at the lake to see if I wanted to talk myself into at least a trip to the white column pergola. A fair number of people on blankets on the lawn along the lake as well as food trucks and people on the sidewalk and so returned to the apartment.
The blood pressure has been rising through the afternoon from the earlier 113/63 to 123/68 just after noon, to 128/71 at three-ten and to 143/77 at five forty-five when I took another dose of the blood pressure med. We'll continue to take readings.
Evening. Nothing I wanted to watch on television and so back to an Indian series of all things on the tablet called paatal lok filled with over the top language, violence and madness you don't, for some reason, expect from an Indian series. One hopes Indian society isn't anywhere near the way it's described in this thing.
More readings: 144/76 at six-fifty, 135/80 at nine, 142/80 at nine-twenty (how long does it take for the med to kick in?) and finally 128/69 at ten-ten.
